5 a.m. blues
Being woken up by a spasm in my foot, the same foot that’s been bothering me for the past few days which is now swollen, and a sore throat that is making the act of talking difficult is not how I wanted to start this day. I don’t want to call out from work and I sure as hell don’t want to go to the emergency room, receive a bill a few weeks from now, and not being able to pay it off because I missed work. Oh life, you’re so funny I could strangle you to death sometimes.
